Most religions seem to take the simple things and make them complex. The more I look into finding a path that will allow me to explore life and my relationship to it the more religion or is it the organisations that run them, seem to get in the way?
Most religions are either at war or planning one, none agree on even the simplest things! Perhaps thats people for you!
I seem to be coming to the conclusion that ancient practices free of the, so called modern world hold more keys than all the major religions, am I right?
Earth, Sun. Earth, Air, Fire, Water, being one with the Earth all seem obvious to me. |

Right, wrong, good, bad, are all subjective viewpoints that distract from the way.
Every human being in the world has a view point that comes with the baggage of their life, upbringing, genetics, experiences etc consequently everyone understands things differently. There is only one person that can understand the world from an individuals point of view and that is the individual.
Taoism teaches an approach of purity - every action thought deed arises in the mind, none of these has any form of duality, good bad etc until we attach duality to them. How does the thought etc make you feel does it add to your feeling of purity or detract from it. If it detracts from your sense of purity then leave it be. It is not good or bad or right or wrong it is either going to enhance your sense of purity or detract from it.
Your choice.
Keeping things simple is a very good way to understand the complexities of our lives. |
